CHOW CHOW NAMES
The Chow Chow
Name suggestions for this dog breed can be found below.
The Chow Chow's development was accomplished long ago in China, but
like other breeds, the true origins are murky. Chow Chows
were also known to be one of the many dogs in China to be eaten by
peasants living in sparse, rural lands. The Chow is a stocky
dog with broad skull and small, rounded ears that stands from about 20
inches high tall and weighs from 50 to 60 pounds, making it an ideal
watchdog. Its double-layered coat consists of a soft, woolly
underlayer and a dense, straight topcoat that stands out from the
body.

The Chow Chow's coat is usually any solid color
although the most
common are reddish-brown, black, blue, cinnamon-colored and a light
cream color. Chows have an unusual blue-black/purple tongue
unique to
their breed, which is its most unique feature and a way to check if the
Chow Chow is pure. If its tongue is pink, then it is not
purebred.
The chow has a reputation for being a breed that is sometimes difficult
to train. The Chow Chow must be socialized properly in order
for it to
get along with other dogs. That being said, they are always
loyal to
their own family, while being wary of strangers.
