PUG NAMES
The Pug
It is thought that the Pug originated in China, where it was bred to
adorn the laps of the Chinese emperors during the Shang dynasty.
The breed was first imported to Europe in the late sixteenth and early
seventeenth centuries by merchants and crews from the Dutch East Indies
Trading Company. In Italy they dressed Pugs in matching outfits
and the dogs sat by the coachmen of the rich. The Pug is
considered a toy and is very small. Its short, glossy coat is
either silver or tan in color with black mask and ears with a short,
stubby-looking nose.

Pugs can be stubborn, but are very sociable and very playful. They are
clever and usually do well at obedience training, making them good
companions. Harsh punishment is generally not needed as they are
sensitive to human tone. Pugs crave attention and can become jealous
if they are ignored or not played with.
Pugs can develop breathing
problems due to their short snouts, also they are susceptible to
temperature extremes. If you own a pug its important you not let them
get to hot or cold. If cared for, pugs have a long lifespan that
ranges from 12-15 years.
